BUDGET & ARRANGEMENTS

Understanding the costs around your care

A useful budget separates the people providing your care from the people helping you organise it.

Hospital costs

Ask your hospital for an itemised estimate and an explanation of what may change after assessment. Confirm currency, deposits, payment methods and what is excluded. Only the hospital can confirm its clinical charges; a coordinator’s service quote does not replace them.

Coordination costs

A coordination quote should name the service provider and describe the exact tasks, city, dates, language, included hours and price. It should explain overtime, additional work, payment stages and cancellation terms. Initial enquiries through ChinaMed do not take a payment.

  • Ask what the hospital already provides before paying for the same task.
  • Separate translation, accompaniment and other coordination tasks.
  • Make sure you know who will deliver each service.

Travel and stay

Keep flights, accommodation, local transport and accompanying-family expenses on separate lines. Check cancellation conditions directly with the provider. An advertised treatment price rarely tells you the cost of your whole trip.

Before you agree

Review the written scope and total coordination fee. Ask what happens if a hospital cannot accept you, dates change or the agreed support becomes unavailable. Decide after these details are clear; an enquiry or indicative estimate is not a booking.

This is a practical planning guide, not medical or immigration advice. Confirm clinical and entry requirements with the relevant provider or official authority.
